Aston Martin Racing announces new Vantage GT3 race car
New Vantage GT3 car is based on the V12 Vantage road car, which will be ready for competition in 2012.
Vantage replaced DBRS9 GT3, which was launched in 2006 and replaces the Vantage GT2, GT4, AMR DBR9 GT1 and LMP1 One of the largest and most comprehensive selection of Aston Martin Racing team now make.
Designed to FIA GT3, Vantage will be built around an aluminum VH platform Vantage with a mild dry marshy 6.0-liter V12 engine based on the V12 Vantage road car. The new car will race semi-automatic gearbox and final race xtrace developed ABS and traction control system that is optimized for Vantage GT3.
Aston Martin has set a target of 1250 kg and the target engine power above 600 hp and 700 nm. The first car will be completed in July 2011, extensive testing and development for the rest of the year. Ten car buyers will be built ready for delivery early in the season 2012th
